A music website focused on non-mainstream artists and completely honest non-sponsored release reviews (a rarity in Japan). As the site is the only presentation of the content, a dynamic logotype was devised which is randomly loaded per page. Letter construction is made from slices of sound waves — the most basic building blocks of music, and also formally related to synthesis (most of the covered music genres are electronic-based).
One subtle design invention — since the image content is fairly random in terms of color and quality, a large color palette was created which is then randomly applied to dividers. With this, the site appears to imitate and integrate the visual content rather than fight against it.
